Dr. Yoshua Kohrs graduated from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in November of 2022 now (Northeast College of Health Sciences). They completed clinical hours with Mid-Atlantic Spinal Rehabilitation in Baltimore, Maryland. Their bachelors degree was in biochemistry and psychology from The University of New York (Geneseo). Their background includes Traditional Chinese Medicine having studied in monasteries in China and working with professional athletes to optimize their performances, and meditation practices. They are a certified Nimmo (trigger point) therapy practitioner having assisted in the course education and technique delivery multiple times, Cox Flexion Distraction, Gua-Sha practitioner (ConnectX/ Graston), and Webster Certified (Pregnancy Care) practitioner. Interests include Perinatal care, pediatric care, sports and recovery, nutrition, acupressure/ acupuncture meridians, the mind-body connection, and all musculoskeletal conditions that are treatable within their scope of practice.
Massage
Medical massage is outcome-based massage, primarily the application of a specific treatment targeted to the specific problem the patient presents with a diagnosis and are administered after a thorough assessment/evaluation by the medical massage therapist with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment. It is also known as clinical massage or treatment massage.
