Laney McNamar

AURA Physical Therapy

Dr. Laney McNamar is a former dancer and a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, and movement-based care. She earned her DPT from Columbia University, where she completed an advanced orthopedic track focused on evidence-based treatment and advanced hands-on clinical skills. While at Columbia, she was also a member of the Columbia Dance Research team and helped present their findings at the national conference for physical therapists. Her clinical training includes experience at various outpatient orthopedic practices and dance medicine settings, where she worked with professional and pre-professional dancers on Broadway and at Lincoln Center with the New York City Ballet to optimize performance and recovery. Known for her personable and collaborative approach, Laney is passionate about helping patients return to the activities they love whether that means performing on stage, exercising confidently, or moving through daily life without pain.
