Matt’s journey in health care began with wanting to understand the human body, how it functions and learning how to rehab injuries that prevent others from doing what they love. Matt’s love for sports brought him to pursuing a bachelor degree in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College. Since graduating he has continued his education by obtaining a diploma in Massage Therapy at Ontario College of Health & Technology. Matt has worked with many acute injuries while working on different sports teams including, soccer/ ice & field hockey/ basketball/ football and rugby. He has also obtained a lot of clinical experience working with individuals who struggle with more chronic related conditions. Since beginning his career in massage therapy, Matt has worked with both the general public and athletes. Providing care for those with acute injuries, chronic pain, stress related symptoms, muscular fatigue, maintenance and relaxing swedish massage. He will always provide individualized treatment plans aligned with the clients needs and treatment goals. Matt’s goal as a therapist is to use his experience and evidence based practice to identify/treat the cause of pain. During treatment you can expect orthopedic testing, tissue assessment and performing manual techniques. Matt is eager to continue expanding his education by taking courses to further broaden the techniques he can use during treatment.
