Only provides services in English Dr. Valerie (Val) Smith obtained her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Prior to attending CMCC, she graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Kinesiology. Dr. Smith firmly believes in continuing education and is certified to provide acupuncture as an adjunctive treatment. Growing up in a small rural community, Dr. Smith lived an active life participating in competitive hockey and soccer. Over the years, her hobbies have expanded to include golf, kayaking, and pickleball. Playing these sports led her to develop a keen interest in body mechanics, injury prevention, and recovery. Dr. Smith is committed to providing quality individualized personal care to the Kapuskasing community through a variety of techniques including diversified chiropractic therapy (adjustments, laser therapy, and shockwave treatment), soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, and orthotics. For patients who have never been to one of our two locations or has not been in over 3 years. This includes an in depth health history interview, a thorough physical exam, diagnosis and plan of management. Treatment may be included if time allows for it.
