After many years in banking, marketing, sales, and education, it was time for me to pursue a different passion. I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University and opened Vita Nova Therapeutic Massage in December 2020. In addition to Relaxation and Therapeutic Massage, I am also certified in Neuromuscular Therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. I believe that no two sessions are ever the same. I look forward to hearing how my clients have been feeling, what they've been doing since I last saw them. This helps me tailor each session to each client specifically for that day. Massage Therapy may not be my first career, but it has been my "quiet" dream for many years and I can't wait to share it with all of you. No matter where you are in your body therapy journey, my goal is to help you feel better, move better, and live better!
Massage
Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Relaxation massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. MLD can help with swelling from injury, trauma, surgery, and some medical conditions such as diabetes, lipedema, edema, lymphedema, and more. Additional screening questions are required before scheduling your first MLD appointment. MLD sessions may be booked for 30, 45, 60, or 90 minute sessions.
