Kat graduated from the University of British Columbia with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, and has been working in the fitness and wellness industry for almost two decades. She is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and trained in teaching Hypopressives. Kat has experienced first hand the importance of pelvic floor and core rehabilitation after the birth of her first child. Being physically fit throughout her entire adult life, Kat was shocked by the changes her body endured postpartum. Weakened pelvic floor muscles, diastasis recti, and a consistently aching lower and upper back motivated her to enroll in the Bellies Inc. Core Confidence program. She was impressed by how much she learned in a relatively short amount of time. The course opened her eyes to just how little support is provided for postpartum care when it comes to pelvic floor and core rehabilitation. Upon completion, Kat felt like she finally found her calling in the world of exercise! Kat is driven to help her clients succeed in gaining confidence in their bodies through exercise rehabilitation and self love and acceptance. When she is not working with clients, or talking to other parents about their fertility, prenatal, and postpartum journeys, Kat loves to spend her free time exploring the outdoors with her family, having silly dance parties in the kitchen with her two kids, watching stand up comedy with her husband, practicing yoga or reading.
