Nicole is a licensed physiotherapist from Western University’s Master of Physical Therapy program who believes everyone deserves the chance to be able to return to doing what they love - whether that be staying active, gardening, or recovering after surgery. Nicole applies a holistic, empathetic, and individualized approach to treatment and employs a strength based 1-on-1 approach with individuals. Nicole is currently a PhD candidate in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Western University as part of the combined MPT/PhD program, where she is exploring the care of individuals with Cerebral Palsy. She completed her BSc. Hon in Human Kinetics and Neuroscience at the University of Guelph and a MSc. in Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University where she was researching health-related quality of life of individuals with ALS. Nicole’s extensive research experience and work as a strength and conditioning coach have shaped her practice - enabling an evidence based and multidimensional approach to care. Nicole grew up in a small town in the Ottawa region playing a breath of sports and continues to stay active with weightlifting, running, and playing soccer. She understands the demands of balancing work and plays and is always willing to provide a listening ear. Outside of the clinic, Nicole can be found reading a book and listening to music/singing (she is a trained vocalist!) or spending time with friends and family.
