Khairun graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York in 2015. Khairun is currently licensed and registered to practice with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Physiotherapy Associations. Earlier, she received her Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Ottawa University in 2001 and worked as a Manufacturing Engineer in Automotive Manufacturing Plants for 10 years. She implemented and lead engineering changes for chassis assembly line, lead black belt six sigma projects, and implemented ergonomic work-stations. While working closely with operators, her passion grew in learning human physiology and mechanics of injuries and lead her to make a career shift from engineering to physiotherapy. Khairun provides an evidence-based treatment approach, and her specialty lies in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, vestibular re-training, and sports injury. She integrates the use of manual therapy, exercise, and patient education to help maximize the recovery and the overall physical well-being of her patients.
