Dr. Heimbecker was born and raised in Orangeville. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She has held teaching positions at Centennial College, University of Waterloo’s Professional Development Program, and Humber College’s Human Anatomy Lab. Emma is also certified as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. She graduated summa cum laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Her treatment methods consist of diversified adjusting and mobilization techniques, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercise, acupuncture, and education. She strives to empower patients to live healthy active lifestyles while managing pain and improving motion and strength. Emma has received further certifications with Spinemobility’s Lumbar Spinal Stenosis boot camp, and she has joined forces with Eramosa Physiotherapy as a GLA:D certified practitioner to offer an evidence-based education and exercise program for management of hip and knee osteoarthritis. Emma is a former Ottawa Valley stepdance instructor and is classically trained in piano and voice. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, curling, baking, and spending time with her dogs.
