Dr. Melissa Callender is a licensed chiropractor and certified acupuncture provider committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She also holds a certification in clinical acupuncture, allowing her to offer an integrative approach to musculoskeletal health. Prior to this, Dr. Callender attended Wilfrid Laurier University where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with minors in biology and psychology. Her educational background has provided her with a strong scientific and clinical foundation in her understanding of the human body as a whole, which informs her comprehensive approach as a chiropractor. Her clinical approach combines manual therapy, acupuncture, rehabilitative exercise, and patient education to create personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. She also has special interests in female care and pediatrics. Dr. Callender is passionate about empowering her patients with the knowledge and tools to take charge of their own health and well-being, so that they can continue living healthy, active, and fulfilling lives.

Initial Assessment includes a comprehensive health history inteview and physical assessment (observation, range of motion, orthopedic testing and manual muscle/joint palpation). Treatment is often included following the assessment, depending on complexity of the case.
