Hi! I'm Heather McClain and I am a graduate of the Medical Massage program at Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences. Massage means more to me than I ever knew. It is such a rewarding experience and has shown me alternatives for pain relief, relaxation, and mental clarity to help heal the body. I am always learning new techniques and modalities to add to my massage practice and I have a passion for making people feel better about themselves. I feel that massage is one of the best forms of self care and I love sharing information to help others understand the bigger picture.
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
