Originally from Manitoba, Avery has returned to the prairies to share his passion for health and wellness. Avery has a strong background in a variety of sports, but has had more focus on training in curling and baseball. He has a large background in Kinesiology study and continues to promote his own fitness through powerlifting. Avery has completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology in Human Kinetics from the University of Regina. He furthered his study in Kinesiology and Health Studies by completing a Master of Science from the University of Regina with a focus on sports nutrition. His thesis was: Effects of Creatine and Caffeine Supplementation During Resistance Training in Trained Young Athletes. Following completion of his Master of Science, he relocated to Cork, Ireland to complete his Master of Science in Physiotherapy. Avery had gained valuable experiences in orthopedics, neurological conditions, and post surgical populations from his university placements in Ireland. From these placements, he found he enjoys working with a variety of clientele to help aid in their full recovery. He enjoys the challenge of finding the root cause of injuries, pain and conditions in his practice. In Avery’s spare time, he enjoys fitness, travel and the outdoors. He is looking forward to building his practice at Empower Physiotherapy.
