Dr. Andy Lieu is a NCCAOM board-certified acupuncturist and Doctor of Acupuncture dedicated to helping patients find lasting relief from pain and return to the activities they enjoy. He earned his graduate degree from Pacific College of Health and Science in Chicago and previously worked as a rehabilitation aide, where he built a strong foundation in movement, recovery, and evidence-informed pain management. Dr. Andy specializes in treating musculoskeletal conditions, including neck, back, shoulder, and joint pain, sports injuries, and chronic pain. He integrates acupuncture with therapies such as electroacupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion to reduce pain, restore mobility, and support the body’s natural healing process. Beyond pain management, Dr. Andy also treats stress-related conditions, digestive concerns, menstrual irregularities, and infertility, taking an approach that considers how lifestyle, stress, and physical health work together. Known for his compassionate, empathetic style, Dr. Andy takes the time to understand each patient’s goals and develop personalized treatment plans that promote lasting improvements in health and quality of life. Outside the clinic, he enjoys strength training, spending time with family and friends, and exploring Chicago.
Initial acupuncture visits include a thorough health history covering all body systems (digestive, respiratory, mental-emotional, reproductive, musculoskeletal), physical exam, traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis, and acupuncture treatment. Hair-thin needles placed along pathways that connect to the organs. Effective for all types of pain, as well as internal imbalances with sleep, digestion, allergies, women’s health, anxiety and depression. Acupuncture activates the body's own self-healing mechanism, regulates the nervous system and improves blood flow.
