Alex’s journey in the healthcare profession began during her time in Toronto Metropolitan University’s nursing program, where she built a strong foundation in anatomy, pathotherapeutics, and pharmacology. Her path led her to the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, where she studied Swedish massage techniques. She has furthered her education in pelvic health for manual therapists, deepening her understanding of issues related to low back, hip, and pelvic pain. Sports played a significant role in Alex’s life from a young age. She engaged in a range of athletic activities, including ringette, basketball, and later, she became a player on the TMU women’s volleyball team. Throughout her athletic career, she encountered her fair share of injuries. These experiences gave her a personal appreciation for the significance of self-care and allowed her to acquire insight on various therapy techniques to enhance your rehabilitation.
