What can I do for you? I bring my full attention to delivering you quality therapeutic massage. I’m here to support you in achieving your goals, whether that be recovery from an injury, relieving sore and aching muscles or joints, managing chronic pain symptoms, or simply enjoying general relief from stress. I enjoy educating you about how to get your body as pain free as possible and what you can do to achieve optimal function. How else can I help you? I have big, strong hands and can deliver a satisfying deep tissue massage. If it’s a lighter touch that works for you, I can do that too. Your massage will be tailored to suit your individual therapeutic needs. I use a variety of techniques, such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, active release, as well as traditional Swedish massage. I sometimes incorporate techniques from craniosacral therapy and lymphatic drainage massage. Therapeutic exercise instructions are also an important part of helping you achieve and maintain your long-term goals. Want to know a little bit more about me? I graduated from the 3-year massage therapy program at The West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1999. I have been practicing massage therapy for over 25 years. I have worked in a variety of settings, from a busy chiropractor’s office, to a spa at the ski hill in Fernie, BC. I have traveled abroad and worked in countries such as beautiful Costa Rica. My interest in massage therapy probably began with my mother teaching me hatha yoga when I was a boy, as well as introducing me to chiropractic. When a series of deep tissue massages dramatically helped me correct some chronic postural imbalances, I decided that I wanted to learn to do that myself. I am a lover of most activities outdoors and also have a hobby interest in ancient and Medieval history and historical European martial arts.
