Mend Acupuncture
Sarah Humpal (she/her) is a gentle, collaborative acupuncturist who listens and treats each individual with care and curiosity. She enjoys being a generalist practitioner with experience treating many types of musculoskeletal pain, headaches, digestive/GI issues, mental and emotional health, menstrual, hormonal, pregnancy and postpartum support, and complex chronic conditions. Following her Master of Acupuncture program at the Maryland University of Integrative Health, she completed a year-long program on trauma recovery (Tao of Trauma). Sarah weaves trauma-informed somatic practices into sessions. She is skilled at supporting and empowering clients to address the mind/body connections co-mingling with pain and healing. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Sarah completed a Master’s Degree in social work and public policy and has experience in non-profit adult education and local and federal government. In treatment, she acknowledges how socio-political-economic systems and seasonal rhythms shape our well-being. Sarah enjoys porch sitting, music listening, book reading, snack eating, and wander-y adventuring. She’s often thinking about how we’re all tender and tough human mammals navigating these times on planet Earth and considering how we can do it together with as much ease, play, pleasure, and liberation for all.
