Dr. Alexas Byrne grew up in Comber, Ontario, where she spent over a decade as a competitive figure skater and swimmer. Her introduction to chiropractic came at the age of 15 after sustaining a lower back injury during a figure skating competition. Experiencing firsthand how chiropractic care helped her recover without the need for medication sparked her passion for the profession and set her on the path to becoming a chiropractor. Dr. Byrne has extensive experience working with diverse patient populations, including infants, children, women, and the elderly. While training at the Seneca Falls Health Center, she gained valuable hands-on experience providing patient-centered, evidence-based care to a wide range of individuals. Her passion for pediatrics and women’s health was further solidified during her three years as an RECE assistant in a daycare, where she worked closely with children and developed a deep understanding of their developmental needs. She utilizes a variety of chiropractic techniques, including Diversified manual adjusting, Activator, and drop piece work, as well as soft tissue therapies. She also holds certifications in Nimmo, postpartum rehabilitation and Functional Integrated Acupuncture, allowing her to take a comprehensive approach to patient care. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Byrne has a strong interest in rehabilitation, weight training, and holistic wellness, ensuring she can tailor treatments to meet each patient’s unique needs. She earned her Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor before continuing her education at Northeast College of Health Sciences in January 2022. She graduated in March 2025 with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and has successfully completed her Canadian and provincial board exams to practice in Ontario.
