Kristie holds a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba. With over 15 years of private practice experience, she supports people with both new and long-standing concerns using an integrative, evidence-informed approach. In private practice, Kristie’s clinical focus includes pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy-related concerns, chronic pain conditions, and orthopedic injuries. She integrates physiotherapy assessment and treatment techniques, pain neuroscience education, therapeutic yoga, and trauma-aware care to help clients build safety in their bodies, restore confidence in movement, and navigate life’s changes in a meaningful, sustainable way. She values collaborative goal setting and works with clients to understand not only what hurts, but why - and how the nervous system, stress, and life context can influence healing. Her approach is light-hearted, curious, and grounded in respect for each person’s autonomy and resilience. Alongside her private practice work, Kristie also provides virtual rehabilitation services to rural and remote areas of Alberta and is an instructor in the Functional Synergy Yoga Therapy Certification program, teaching the pain science module. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Pain Science and Pelvic Health divisions and regularly pursues continuing education through courses, workshops, and conferences. Outside of work, Kristie enjoys spending time outdoors with her son and dog. She loves the mountains, and spent 10 years living and working in Golden, BC. She is excited to have made the move to Calgary to join the Intrinsi family!
