Paramjot Kaur Dhillon, MPT, BPT, CHT Registered Physiotherapist | Certified Hand Therapist | Pelvic floor Therapist Paramjot (Param) is an experienced and highly skilled physiotherapist with a strong clinical and academic background in musculoskeletal, neurological, and women’s health physiotherapy. She holds a Master of Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Punjabi University, India, and is a Registered Physiotherapist in both Canada. She is also a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), with a particular interest in hand rehabilitation. With over 15 years of experience across academic, clinical, and research settings, Paramjot has developed a diverse skill set in treating conditions related to hand dysfunctions, women’s pelvic health, pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, urinary and fecal incontinence, TMJ disorders, vestibular/concussion management and cancer rehabilitation. She has completed numerous advanced certifications: •Certified Hand therapist from Hand Therapy Certification Commission •Pelvic health physiotherapy Level 1 and Level 2. •Pregnancy, pelvic girdle pain and the pelvic floor. •Functional dry needling level 1 and level 2. Param has also taken additional courses in: •Wound care for Hand Specialist. •Custom splinting of hand, wrist and elbow. •TMJ disorders and orofacial pain. •Part A (Lumbar Spine) McKenzie Technique. •Mulligan Manual Therapy. •Acute Management of sports related concussion and management of post-concussion syndrome. •Advanced Concussion management. •Vestibular Rehabilitation. In addition to her clinical practice at British Columbia, Paramjot has held academic positions as Associate and Assistant Professor at Christian Medical College and Hospital in India. She has contributed significantly to research, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in areas such as cancer rehabilitation, chronic kidney disease, orthopedics, and women’s health. She has also presented her work internationally, including at the 9th International Conference on Anticancer Research in Greece. Her commitment to continuing education reflects her dedication to evidence-based and patient-centered care. Her multilingual capabilities in English, Hindi, and Punjabi allow her to serve a diverse patient population effectively. In her free time, she enjoys painting.
