Andrea started and finished her training as a 2200 hour Registered Massage Therapist in Halifax, NS in 2004. Starting her career in Halifax, Andrea relocated to Alberta in 2016. Throughout her career, Andrea has worked in all settings from post surgery rehabilitation, post MVA, and all other forms of injuries to spa settings. Since finishing basic education as a massage therapist, Andrea has spent a lot of time advancing her knowledge and skills. Focusing on advanced manual osteopathic style techniques, cranial sacral/somatic emotional release, myofascia release, paediatric therapy (0-8 years), and all that is encompassed within these therapies. Andrea has found that her training helps her create a well rounded treatment plan looking at the body on several plains and dimensions. Andrea believes a body in movement should stay in movement for the rest of its life time. Having always being active, she found herself training as a yoga instructor after being in a MVA that left her with balance issues, post concussion symptoms among other things. Andrea has found that this training has melded well with her training as a manual therapist. She finds both continue to intersect each other as she continues to advance her skill set…always amazed at how the body can function and heal itself when reminded how safe it is to do so. Outside of her delight of work, Andrea enjoys spending time in her garden, taking her two pups for walks and lounging in the sun with her two cats, and spending time with her husband looking for an adventure or just a great cup of coffee.
