This treatment is specific to addressing acute and chronic edema, especially in the arms and legs. Different from massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage is an extremely gentle hands-on technique with the goal of decreasing swelling. There is also some gentle joint pumping which assists in draining the lymph nodes and moving the lymph more efficiently throughout the whole body. You may experience soothing of the nervous system as a side benefit. This is a 50 minute treatment with time for debriefing and education.
