A graduate of the West Coast College of Massage therapy, Darcy has recently returned to Victoria to continue his practice! With a focus on somatics and body re-integration, Darcy’s style of massage often involves deep tissue work, combined with dynamic active and passive movement to decrease stuck or “locked” tissue and sore muscles. Darcy has a lengthy background of working in the field of construction, which grants him experience in recognizing and dealing with various types of work related injury whether new or chronic in nature. His belief is that the body should be treated not simply by its individual parts, but as whole; and that working through the body chain, that greater healing and mobility can be achieved. Within his toolbox of skills, Darcy favors techniques such as: deep trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilization, passive and active traction and relaxing Swedish massage. For fun, you can find him out camping, golfing, playing pool, riding his motorcycle and barbequing (regardless of the weather!)
