RSB Massage Therapy - Ruth Brauer
The Medical Building on Central, above the 1335 Central Avenue pharmacy, Room 200, 20 14th St East, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 4W1
Ruth Brauer graduated from the Robertson College massage therapy program. Before Massage College she studied at the University of Saskatchewan and took a year of pre-nursing at the University College of the North in her hometown. During pre-nursing a sudden onset of pain caused the temporary loss of her ability to walk. She received treatment from a massage therapist in Flin Flon who utilizes rapid release trigger point techniques to retrain her ability to stand upright and walk. Due to the practical help received, Ruth shifted focus leaving the path she was on in pursuit of treatment and recovery focused massage therapy. She regularly pursues learning new techniques and currently focuses on a fusion between hotstone and deep tissue massage using the heat from the stones to break through muscle adhesions and gain access to the deeper muscle layers. Her primary focus is pain reduction and range of motion improvement, but is also trained in basic pre-natal massage, MLD, L.A.S.T., and Swedish massage.
