Hi. My name is Matt Mikeska. I have lived here locally in Blairsville for the past 17 years. My path to holistic healing has been a long, winding, and painful journey that started many years ago with an addiction to opioids. Few things will make a person question the meaning of life, the nature of humanity, and the benefits of holistic medicine, like recovery from addiction. After years of struggle, I am happy to say that I have been in recovery for almost 12 years. Over the past 12 years, I have immersed myself in the knowledge of energy work, holistic healing, and shamanism. I am continuing my education in as many fields of holistic medicine as possible. I provide Bodywork but not massage therapy. I am proficientin Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, Acupressure, Reiki, Chakra Healing, Past Life Regression, Biofield Therapy, Sound Healing, and Ear Candling. I easily relate to another human's pain and have a relentless desire to ease that pain. I believe that we are more than just our physical bodies. The energy that courses through us can become blocked and may require treatment just like the physical body. Outside of the office, I am a drum circle facilitator. I am a drummer in the sound healing band, Veruse. I am a Certified Recovery Specialist and Vice President on the board of Favor Western PA. Finally, I believe that a well-balanced life, one that places emphasis on mind, body, and spirit is what we should all be striving for. In our society, we place an unachievable importance on hard work. This will often lead to exhaustion, burnout, depression, and anxiety. I am here to help you with that balance, and to prevent burnout. But most importantly, I believe that a healer's true purpose is to help you heal yourself.
