I’m Jinsheng — JZ — a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Lymphedema and Wound Therapist. I work with a wide range of clients, from people seeking relaxation, maintenance, and general muscle tension relief to those dealing with pain, postural strain, sports injuries, accidents, changes in mobility, or chronic conditions. My practice focuses on functional, assessment-based massage therapy grounded in anatomy, physiology, pain science, and movement. Treatment may be deep, gentle, relaxing, specific, or rehabilitative depending on what your body needs that day. I work with intention and precision, using manual therapy techniques from multiple traditions while adapting each session to the person in front of me. When helpful, I also provide activity-modification suggestions and tailored home exercises to support progress between visits. In addition to my RMT training, I am certified as a Lymphedema and Wound Therapist, with training in Complete Decongestive Therapy. CDT combines Manual Lymphatic Drainage, compression care such as bandaging and garments, therapeutic exercise guidance, and self-care education. I have also completed a 130-hour Ontario Microcredential bundle in Skin and Wound Care, as well as University of Alberta continuing education courses in vestibular/concussion management and neurological rehabilitation. I am currently in my second cycle of the Chronic Pain and Opioid Stewardship program through Project ECHO, funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health. These additional studies help me adapt massage therapy more safely and thoughtfully for clients with swelling, persistent pain, dizziness, concussion history, neurological conditions, diabetes, vascular concerns, reduced mobility, or pressure-injury risk. They also strengthen how I think about circulation, tissue tolerance, pain sensitivity, movement, balance, and recovery — principles that are useful for more common concerns such as muscle tension, stiffness, stress-related holding patterns, overuse, and recovery after demanding work or activity. My goal is to make each session useful both on and beyond the treatment table: helping you feel more settled, reduce unnecessary tension, move more comfortably, better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms, and know what self-care may support your progress between visits.
