Holly understands first-hand the difference Physiotherapy can make in a patient’s life. She competed internationally on Team Canada as a high jumper for several years but struggled with injuries throughout her athletic pursuits. When she retired from competition, she focused her energy on becoming a Physiotherapist. Holly completed her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at UBC and wishing to enhance her academic foundation further, continued to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Holly recognizes that her patients may benefit from different forms of treatment and has focused her postgraduate work on ensuring a comprehensive, well-rounded repertoire of treatment for those suffering from orthopedic injuries. She uses a combination of techniques rich in manual and manipulative therapy, including symptom modification, trigger point release, shockwave therapy, functional dry needling (IMS) as well as client education and individualized exercise programs to achieve client goals. She firmly believes in treating not only patient symptoms but also the source of pain to ensure long-term relief for her patients. Prior to her physiotherapy degrees, Holly graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and a B.Sc. in Psychology, accompanied by a minor in French. When not working in the clinic, Holly can be found taking advantage of our beautiful outdoor playground: she skis, plays volleyball, softball, and explores the trails with her dog.
