Dr. Carolyne Nellis completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, with a minor in pre-medical studies, at the University of Maine. She then pursued her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class with Summa Cum Laude honors. Dr. Nellis attended the University of Maine on a full athletic scholarship, playing NCAA Division 1 soccer for four years. As an athlete, Dr. Nellis relied on chiropractic care to optimize her performances and heal various injuries. Inspired by a close family member in the chiropractic field, Dr. Nellis knew from a young age she wanted to pursue a career that focused on helping people heal and live healthier lives. Her goal as a health care provider is to optimize the body’s innate ability to heal. By optimizing the structural, chemical and mental aspects of health, she empowers the body to heal and restore its balance. In order to achieve this balance, Dr. Nellis uses a combination of hands-on therapies to address a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. She has an extensive history in dealing with vertigo, pregnancy and post-pregnancy related symptoms, thoracic outlet syndrome, post concussion syndrome, headaches, whiplash, as well as other conditions. Originally from Quebec City, QC, Dr. Nellis is also fluent in French. When she is not at the clinic, you can find her on the soccer field, running outdoors, hiking, meditating and reading.
