Jessica Carter, MPT, BSc KIN Jessica is a Registered Physiotherapist who is passionate about helping people recover from injury, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2013 before earning her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2015. With a lifelong background in competitive sports, Jessica has a strong understanding of the physical demands athletes place on their bodies. She competed in soccer, cross-country running, track and field, swimming, and field hockey throughout high school, before playing five years of varsity women’s soccer at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her firsthand experience as an athlete gives her valuable insight into injury recovery, rehabilitation, performance, and injury prevention. Jessica has a special interest in assessing and treating foot, ankle, and knee conditions, sports injuries, and running-related injuries. Having experienced several knee and ankle injuries herself, she developed a strong interest in lower limb biomechanics, movement analysis, and evidence-based rehabilitation. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and activity levels—from competitive athletes to recreational exercisers—to help them return to the activities that matter most. Her treatment approach combines hands-on manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, patient education, acupuncture, and movement retraining to address the root cause of pain and support long-term recovery. Outside the clinic, Jessica enjoys staying active by running, playing soccer, and spending time outdoors with her husband, their two young children, and their dog. She understands the challenges of balancing recovery with the demands of work, family, and an active lifestyle, and strives to create practical, personalized treatment plans that fit each patient’s goals.
