Growing up on a farm in rural Ontario, Dr Gena learned to appreciate good chiropractic care at a young age as her family would often need a little help healing from minor injuries related to the work required of farming as well as being an active child in sports. Graduating from CMCC in 2006 she continued acquiring skills such as Graston technique, Active Release Techniques, and Medical Acupuncture to build treatment plans that are individualized and tailored to the patients needs. She is very comfortable treating patients of all ages, including infants. She is experienced in treating pregnant individuals, athletes of all levels and patients wanting to reach optimal wellness. She has been treating spine pain (acute and chronic), sports injuries (sprains and strains), TMJ dysfunction and extremity issues (shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, ankles) for 19 years now in Calgary. When she is not in the clinic, she is happily trying to keep up with her 3 children who are ski racers with the Banff Alpine Racers and cycling and sailing enthusiasts in the summer months.
