Dr. Ruffolo has developed a passion for chiropractic at a young age after seeking rehabilitation for a plethora of injuries she experienced while playing competitive soccer. Her love for sport continued as she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology while playing soccer in the NCAA at James Madison University, and Usports at Western University. After completing her university degree, she attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Since graduating, she has become certified in the Integrated Needling (IN) acupuncture course and the Integrated Assessment/Integrated Patterning course (IA/IP) focusing on functional assessment and rehabilitation. With an extensive sports background, Dr. Ruffolo understands the biomechanical demands placed on the body during sports and physical activity. She uses conservative care techniques such as active care, soft tissue therapy, mobilization, manipulation, and acupuncture to curate a treatment plan that addresses her patients individualized needs. This background has provided her with the skill set to approach and administer effective treatment for varying conditions including minor musculoskeletal complaints such as sprains and strains, to headaches, to more serious issues including major low back pain, biomechanical dysfunctions, postural dysfunctions and athletic injuries. Outside of clinic, Dr. Ruffolo enjoys trying various physical activities such as weight training, pilates, yoga, running and cycling.
