Rachel’s passion for movement began early as a competitive gymnast, where she developed a strong appreciation for athletic performance, injury recovery, and the resilience required to return to sport. Following her gymnastics career, she became deeply involved in the climbing and running communities, drawn to the challenge, connection, and lifelong pursuit of movement these sports provide. Like many athletes, Rachel has experienced her own share of injuries, including a significant shoulder injury that required surgery and an extensive rehabilitation process. This firsthand experience has shaped her approach to physiotherapy, giving her a unique understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that can accompany recovery. Rachel has developed a particular interest in hypermobility and connective tissue conditions, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Through both clinical experience and personal insight, she has gained a deep appreciation for the complex relationship between anatomy and biomechanics, injury risk, nervous system sensitivity, training load, and recovery. She enjoys helping patients better understand their bodies, build confidence through strength, and develop sustainable strategies to stay active and perform at their best. Outside the clinic, Rachel can usually be found climbing, running, or exploring local coffee shops around the city.
