Professional Development and Certifications Raffy takes a scientific, evidence-based and empathic approach to training/rehabilitation, and believes in building a solid biomechanical foundation before progression. He is a competitive powerlifter and former varsity football player who has extensive personal experience with strength training, weight loss, rehabilitation and postural correction. Raffy graduated from UBC in 2017 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, along with a Minor in Psychology. He also completed his NSCA-CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) in 2019. In his 5+ years of experience Raffy has worked with: ICBC Kinesiology patients Numerous Personal Training clients of varying goals Powerlifters Cardiac Rehabilitation as an instructor at the YMCA Healthy Heart Program Varsity football players Major Midget Hockey players as an athletic trainer for the Vancouver NW Giants Concussion protocol SCI (spinal cord injury) research at the Blusson spinal cord centre Outside the Clinic In his free time, Raffy loves being a “foodie” trying new restaurants, working out, mountain biking, or cheering on our local sports teams!

Your kinesiologist will customize an exercise prescription and provide education regarding pain-management techniques, pacing, and injury prevention.
