About Dr. Lapshina: Dr Lapshina’s passion for naturopathic medicine grew from a deep fascination with nature, human physiology, and the ways in which the body continuously responds to its environment. In clinical practice, she aims to understand the underlying imbalance behind her patient’s symptoms. Fatigue and energy support is of special interest to her, which often requires careful detective work to understand contributing factors. During initial visits, she gathers information through a detailed time-line and history, unique symptom presentation and through physical examinations such as basic physical assessment, Japanese abdominal palpation, tongue and pulse diagnosis. Her other areas of clinical focus include optimizing gut health, supporting the brain and mental health, sexual and reproductive health, as well as managing autoimmune conditions. She has a particular focus on complex chronic illnesses, women’s health and pediatric care, areas that often benefit from a comprehensive assessment and a strategic plan. Her treatment approach integrates functional lab testing, holistic nutrition, lifestyle counseling, health education, evidence-based nutraceuticals, Chinese medicine, as well as western botanical medicine. Rather than relying on a single modality, she selects the tools best suited to each individual, aiming to deliver care that is sustainable, practical, and rooted in clinical reasoning. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Guelph and her naturopathic medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
