Dr. Shamei embarked on this chiropractic journey by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver. At UBC, Dr. Shamei distinguished himself not only in academics, where he was honored with the esteemed Trek Excellence Scholarship, but also in his extracurricular engagements like participating in various sports. Dr. Shamei chose the University of Western States (UWS) in Portland, a hub for advanced health sciences education, to continue his pursuits and earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, a Masters in Sports Medicine, and a Doctorate in Chiropractic, graduating with the highest honours. This period was characterized by intensive clinical patient care experience and hands-on sports medicine practice, including providing on-field care at local sporting events such as wrestling, football, and basketball tournaments. Dr. Shamei’s patient care philosophy is anchored in a comprehensive, evidence-based approach. He skillfully combines various treatment modalities, including chiropractic manipulative therapy, soft tissue treatments, cupping therapy, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), muscle release techniques, and Kinesiotaping.
