Marina completed her Masters in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and is an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Global Health Division. Prior to her physiotherapy education, Marina completed a BSc. in Kinesiology with honours from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and was a certified personal trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. Marina uses knowledge from her background in biomechanics and exercise prescription to help her patients learn functional movement patterns in order to relieve pain and return to the sports and activities they enjoy. She combines manual therapy and dry needling techniques to improve patients’ neuromuscular dysfunction. Marina has also taken post-graduate courses in vestibular and post-concussion assessment and management. Marina has worked with a wide variety of populations and ages, including competitive athletes, post-operative rehabilitation, post workplace and motor vehicle collision, youth with neurological conditions, and weekend warriors. Her physiotherapy career has provided opportunities to travel, from the Yukon to southern India! When not in the clinic, Marina is busy exploring BC and spends many of her summer weekends hiking and camping. If it’s winter, you can probably find her somewhere on Cypress snowboarding. She is currently training for her first triathlon.
