Emma Wade is a bilingual (French/English) Registered Physiotherapist with a strong academic and athletic background. She earned both an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2025 from the University of Ottawa. To further advance her manual therapy skills, Emma has also completed Level 1 of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program. Her clinical experience spans private orthopedic practices, multidisciplinary rehabilitation centres, and acute-care hospital settings, giving her a broad foundation for treating a wide range of conditions. Emma is no stranger to high-level sport. As a member of the University of Ottawa women’s varsity rugby team, she helped capture three national bronze medals while balancing the demands of academics and competition. These experiences, along with managing her own injuries, deepened her understanding of athletic performance, recovery, and injury prevention. With a strong interest in sport rehabilitation and general orthopaedics, Emma combines hands-on treatment with active, exercise-based programs to help clients restore function, build strength, and reach their personal goals. She believes that effective physiotherapy is a collaborative process, and she works closely with each patient to create evidence-based plans that fit their lifestyle. When she’s not in the clinic, Emma loves staying active and seeking new adventures. She recently returned from hiking and backpacking across New Zealand and Australia, experiences that deepened her passion for the outdoors and tested her physically. She continues to play rugby and hockey recreationally and jumps at any opportunity to join local sports, activities, or adventures, keeping both her body and mind engaged.
