Helen uses a hands-on approach to provide individualized treatment plans through manual therapy, soft tissue release, dry needling and exercise prescription. Helen uses a holistic approach and regional interdependency model to treat the area of concern and other compensatory joints. Her goal for every patient is to build a ‘tool kit’ of exercises to manage their injury in the future and build the confidence to return to their activities. From a young age, Helen has enjoyed a very active lifestyle. She has participated in many different sports and physical activities from running, curling and weightlifting. Helen also participated in competitive dragonboat paddling where she had the opportunity to represent Canada on the U24 National Team in 2017. Helen has recently returned to running with goals to complete a marathon and triathlon. Through her own experience with injuries, Helen has developed a special interest in running and shoulder pathologies. She can relate to the impact that injury has on training and daily life and really empathizes with her clients while providing safe, evidence based and effective treatments.
