In 2009, Deana received her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. She has her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Regina, where she was a member of the Women’s hockey team. She went on to play hockey overseas before finishing her formal education. Deana is the dichotomy of our clinic, as she excels in two diverse areas of practice. While she is an excellent orthopedic physical therapist and practices dry needling, Deana is also certified to treat conditions of both the male and female pelvic floors. She can help her patients with conditions such as urinary & fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, and dyspareunia. Deana enjoys empowering her patients through education, and providing tools for self-care. Deana is always taking courses in both manual therapy and researching information about pelvic floor conditions, as the evidence is evolving quickly! She has completed her transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy in Pelvic Health. If that doesn’t keep her busy enough, she is a fantastic mom of two adorable daughters, and still able to find time for family, friends, golf, and hockey.

This is a specialty physiotherapy service. This type of assessment and treatment is available for both men and women. Our physiotherapist has extensive post-graduate physiotherapy training and certification to be able to provide this service. Our clinic has a separate, private room available for all pelvic health assessments and treatments.
