Kristen Burrows has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2003, graduating from the West Coast college of Massage Therapy. She was a Clinical practicum supervisor and Instructor at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy from 2006 to 2020. At the college, she supervised practicums treating patients with Multiple Sclerosis as well brain and spinal cord injuries. She also taught a course on Neurological Assessment for the Central Nervous System and a course on Clinical Assessment. As a result, her treatments are very clinically oriented, including a detailed history taking, physical examination and special orthopedic testing. In 2019, she was elected to the board of the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. Her work there consists of helping to make regulations for the profession to serve the best interests of the public. Kristen has been with Coast Therapy since 2015, treating a variety of patients from pre-natal to babies to senior years and everything in between. She has taken mostly orthopedic and fascial post graduation courses but is also capable of doing kinesiology taping. Her practice style is variable depending on the patients needs, ranging from deep, assertive treatment to light and conservative treatment.
