About Katie: Katie is a Registered Massage Therapist and a Certified Athletic Therapist . Her educational journey began here in Guelph, Ontario when she attended University of Guelph, graduating in 2012 with a BSc(Hon) in Human Kinetics. As her passion for working with an active population grew, she decided to continue her education by attending Sheridan College where she graduated in 2016 with a BAHSc in Athletic Therapy. From there, Katie graduated from The Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy with a Dip MT in 2017. Katie spent 6 years working in the Ontario Collegiate Athletic Association. Now, while not in the clinic she works as the Head Athletic Therapist with the KW Titans, a professional basketball team in the BSL. Athletic Therapy

Initial Athletic Therapy Assessment & Treatment

An initial athletic therapy assessment includes a thorough orthopedic assessment as well as treatment which may include manual therapy, modalities (ultrasound, IFC, TENS, etc), and remedial exercises as required. You can expect this initial appointment to take 45-60 minutes depending on the complexity of your injury.
