Leilani Samocino remains in good standing as a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO), and is regulated under the Ontario Health Professional Act as an R.M.T. Her passion for massage therapy began during her time in undergraduate studies where she was intrigued by the body and how it adapts to certain conditions. Leilani is currently accepting direct billing for most major insurance companies. As a health professional, Leilani has a strong passion for helping others through a hands-on approach. She believes that with massage therapy, each patient can play an active role in their own health. She is committed to giving back to the community that raised her by ensuring that each person who walks through the door is able to experience the multitude of benefits that come with massage therapy. Education Leilani has successfully earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, graduating with High Distinction and appearing twice on the Dean’s List. She has also completed a two-year advanced diploma in Massage Therapy from Centennial College. In her last year, she was awarded the Jean-Augustine Entrepreneurship Scholarship. Career Since becoming an RMT, Leilani has found interest in using new and innovative ways to advance the profession of massage therapy. Using an evidence-based approach, she is driven by new techniques and modalities, and how to incorporate it all into putting patients’ therapeutic goals first.
