Ever since I was a little girl watching my grandma in the kitchen, I loved to help people. She never let me stir the bowl, or form the cookies, but she did always ask me to massage her shoulders for her once she sat down for her soaps. I distinctly remember her saying “Oh Alexandra, you have such strong hands, you should be a massage therapist someday.”. I then remember thinking, “Nah, I’m going to be an artist, silly grandma!”; Well, the joke is on me, because I grew up to be both. Though if it weren’t for that one moment that stuck with me through so many years, I may never have ventured into massage therapy at all. Now I get to help people overcome their pain everyday, and I don’t think I could ever love another job more. Last time I went to visit my grandma, I even got to help her with her knee pain that had been bugging her for weeks. Being primarily a deep tissue therapist I really prefer using a slow MFR approach to break up deep adhesions in the muscle body. I love working with people from all walks of life, from chronic to acute injury rehabilitation, or simply needing an hour to unwind; I’m there for it. Let’s start your healing journey!
