Reno is a Physiotherapist who earned his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University. After graduating from Durham College with a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion, Reno went on to complete a Bachelor of Kinesiology at Brock University. The education and experience gained through these programs helped shape his strong foundation in healthcare and his passion for helping others. After living in Nova Scotia for the last several years, Reno has recently relocated back to Ontario and is excited to be joining the team at The Lab. He utilizes a patient-centred approach to care, where each patient’s preferences, needs, and values guide all clinical decision-making. Through education, advice, lifestyle management, and physical activity, Reno focuses on empowering his patients to reach their personal and health-related goals. As a strong advocate for continuing education and development, Reno has completed certifications in Acupuncture Canada Dry Needling Levels 1, 2 and 3, Integrated Therapeutics (IA & IT), Low Back Pain Fundamentals and Barbell Rehab Workshop through Barbell Rehab, and Assessment and Treatment of the Cervical Spine. Outside of the clinic, Reno enjoys exploring new areas, hiking local trails, weightlifting, and listening to music. He enjoys incorporating patient interests into their care plans, helping to create meaningful and personalized rehabilitation experiences.
The initial assessment is for new patients. It entails a full detailed history of the presenting complaint, any relevant medical history, reviewing documentation and diagnostic tests, and a physical examination of the affected area. The session will conclude with education on the physiotherapy diagnosis, documentation of all findings, and advising on the course of treatment.
