I am a strength-based physiotherapist with a background as a strength coach and an emphasis on guiding you back to health and joyful movement after pain and injury. Your goals shape how I assess your current injury. From there, we create a plan to rebuild your health and movement. Strengthening exercises are often a key part of this plan. I work with people ranging from complete novices to elite competitors in endurance sports (hello, my fellow running nerds!), strength and combat athletes, and those working to prioritize exercise for health and longevity. If you’re struggling to be active in the ways that you want (or need) to, my expertise is in helping you find ways to be active. This includes staying active despite injury and rebuilding to full activity afterward. As a Bone Fit certified physiotherapist, I have a special interest in advising on exercise for bone health, for both those with osteoporosis and those focused on prevention. My work experience includes private physio clinics and working with the Ottawa Police Service and the Canadian Armed Forces. I have also coached first responders, runners, triathletes, cyclists and combat athletes as a strength coach. My passion for movement and strength training is also personal. I have previously competed as an IPF powerlifter and dabbled in Olympic-distance triathlons. Currently, my exercise routine consists of running (especially in the beautiful green belt) and strength training. I am also an avid sports fan who regularly watches the Premier League, hockey, and cycling, among other sports. If you’re ready to take the next step or have any questions before starting physiotherapy, I am best reached by email at [email protected]. For those interested, here are the highlights of my education: •McMaster University Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honours 2007 •Queen’s University Master of Science in Physical Therapy 2009 •Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Examination 2014 •Level 1 Bone Fit Certified •Running Injury Prevention Courses •Active Release Technique •Motivational Interviewing

Be ready to feel empowered and hopeful on your rehabilitation journey. Following this initial meeting, you will receive a strengthening and rebuilding plan and guidance about future follow-ups, to provide coaching, progressions and adjustments on your strengthening journey.
