From a young age Ryan has been involved in various sports and activities. As a result of his abundant background living an athletic lifestyle, it was only natural Ryan was attracted to a career where he could apply his experience to help others achieve their life and health goals. Prior to his journey into the world as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), Ryan acquired an extensive foundation training others in the health and fitness industry. Ryan obtained his Bachelor of Kinesiology (BSKin) degree from UBC, and on top of performing Kinesiology work, Ryan has been actively involved in Personal Training (Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology), Sports First Aid (BC Sports First Aid), Functional movement training (Coaching Association of Canada), and Coaching various youth sports. Ryan’s style includes various dynamic techniques in his soft tissue treatment along with research based protocols to help patients return and maintain their functional health. Additionally, Ryan keeps pace with current research methods while maintaining true to his athletic roots in order to become the optimal therapist in this contemporary and competitive health industry. Even though Ryan takes an orthopedic approach to treatment, he is trained in Myofasical Release, Sport Specific Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Manual Lymph Drainage, and mild Joint Mobilizations.
