June is a licensed Massage Therapist offering bodywork services such as Personal Injury, Swedish, Sports, Myofascial Release, and Deep Tissue massage. She also draws from her training and interest in lymphatic drainage techniques, integrated craniosacral, chakra balancing, and reiki for a thoroughly intuitive as well as clinical approach to bodywork. When working with June, you can expect . . . the unexpected! She takes a new approach in every session, including with clients she’s seen multiple times. “After doing a full history and listening in depth to my client’s areas of discomfort or things they’d like to work on, I enjoy doing a slow warm up in order to bring areas of tension and pain to the surface. From there, I like to address that pain by listening to the muscle response, paying attention to how it moves and releases, and apply pressure within the scope of comfort for my client. It should feel productive, not painful!” With her intuitive, precise, curious and innovative style of bodywork, June is a favorite practitioner for those with lingering pain from post op procedures, nerve issues, chronic neck and back tension, people experiencing extremity numbness, anyone working through injury, ergonomic concerns, chronic pain and more. At SuNu, June is inspired by the collaborative approach to holistic health care. She enjoys being able to work with practitioners who specialize in other modalities in order to offer well-rounded and full-bodied care to her clients. She’s also happy to be working more with prenatal and postpartum birth clients at SuNu. June is originally from Las Vegas and studied in Nevada. Now living in Minnesota, she enjoys being a mom, watching hockey, walking her German Shepard and being with family. June is currently seeing patients at our Minnetonka location.
