Emiko graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Throughout the outreach program and the school clinic, she has treated patients from but not limited to fibromyalgia, MS, pre/post natal, frozen shoulder, and general tension. She has also treated patients with healthcare concerns, including spinal cord injury and neurological condition. Emiko is interested in women’s health. She has taken continuing education to treat and support people who are preparing for and recovering from breast and chest surgery. It includes mastectomy, reconstruction, augmentation, and trans top surgeries. Emiko has also completed an advanced Level 3 lymphedema / chronic edema management training with certification in the Dr. Vodder method of Manual lymph Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT), offered by the internationally recognized Dr. Vodder School. This allows Emiko to provide advanced care to patients with lymphedema, whether from surgery, radiation or congenital malformation. Suitable venous edemas, lipedema and other types of chronic edema may also be managed successfully with these techniques. Emiko is a proud member of the BC Lymphedema Association. Emiko’s approach includes individualized treatment plans to help her patients achieve their goals and encourage optimal well-being. Her treatment modalities include but not limited to myofascial release, trigger point release, PNF stretch, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) and Swedish massage.
