Monica is a registered acupuncturist in British Columbia with over 12 years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) back in China. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in TCM from China, where she also completed her medical residency, gaining extensive hands-on experience in diagnosing and treating various conditions across multiple medical departments. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Monica specializes in the treatment of chronic physical pain commonly experienced by both athletes and office workers. She effectively addresses issues such as neck pain, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, and lower back pain—conditions that often arise from repetitive strain or poor posture. Monica is also highly skilled in treating mood and anxiety disorders, insomnia, headache, and facial paralysis, offering holistic care that addresses both physical and emotional well-being. With four years of experience treating sequelae of apoplexy (stroke recovery), sports injuries, and chronic pain in a rehabilitation hospital in China, she is particularly skilled in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through personalized recovery and rehabilitation treatments. Monica consistently attends annual medical conferences and refresher courses to stay updated on the latest advancements in medication and treatment methods in TCM.
