Practising since 2019, Kaitlyn’s journey to become a massage therapist started with the completion of her BSc in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. Driven to deepen her understanding of the human body, she graduated from the rigorous program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy where she was placed on the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement. Having been a recipient of massage therapy for many years, Kaitlyn utilized her treatments to combat repetitive strain injury and the effects of stress. This plays a strong role in shaping her practice today, and she believes that regular preventative maintenance and self-care can lead to a happier, healthier life for many. She strives to provide a safe and comfortable space for her clients and is best known for incorporating warm ceramic stones into treatments. A positive guest experience is paramount to her treatment approach, and she will collaborate with you to develop a tailored treatment plan to suit your unique individual needs. Whether you seek acute rehabilitation, bodily maintenance, or assistance managing persistent pain or stress, her mission is to positively influence a person’s relationship to their body. When Kaitlyn is not treating at Umi, she can be found enjoying the Vancouver food scene, training for her next active event, volunteering at a local parrot shelter, or cycling.
