Meghan Baker
Bump Physio & Co
86 Kyle St, Port Moody, BC, V3H 1Z3
Meghan grew up on a First Nations reserve in the interior of BC, later living in Melbourne, Toronto, Portland, and Seattle before returning to Vancouver in 2020. She grew up on a horse ranch with seven siblings (and one bathroom), staying active with soccer and boxing. These days it's yoga, kettlebell training, neighbourhood bike rides on her trusted steed "Princess Buttercup," and cartwheel contests with her nieces. Meghan became a chiropractor because her own chiropractor was the first person who truly took the time to listen to her injuries, and eventually told her to stop asking so many questions and just become one herself! She loves anatomy, movement, and helping others build a better relationship with their bodies, and is a huge proponent of collaborative care between herself, the patient, and their broader health team. A lot of what she does comes down to meeting patients where they're at, listening to their body and their words, not just what they think they're supposed to do. She values being curious and open, helping patients feel seen and heard, not just treated. Bump's collaborative, relational, client-centred approach is exactly why she's excited to join the team. Specialties/Approach: Functional movement screening, ART and myofascial release, spinal and extremity mobilizations, IASTM, K-Tape, cupping, and functional/performance-based rehab, tailored to each client's goals.
